Patch 1.2 — The 3.1 Update: Contracts, Stability & Endgame Repairs

July 28, 2026 — The Loot Lounge Team

Another busy stretch, and another honest one. The official 3.1 update dropped mid-week, so we spent the last few days getting the whole server safely onto the new version and untangling the endgame mod at the same time. Everything below is new since Patch 1.1. The server's in a much better place than it was a few days ago — here's the rundown.

A Note on the Endgame Mod — Please Read

We're still wrestling the AEC endgame mod into shape, and this week it fought back. The mod's own auto-update broke contracts, so we rolled it to the last version where they work — which keeps your contracts and the coin economy running, but cost us the newer part converter. Rather than break your economy chasing it, we've rebuilt part access a different way (below). Straight talk: the newest AEC also drops your entire coin economy and crashes on 3.1, so we're deliberately staying on the stable version and patching around it ourselves. Expect continued tuning over the coming week.

What's New — 7 Days to Die 3.1 "Henpocalypse" 🐔

The server is now on the official 3.1.0 release. We tested the full mod stack against it before going live, then migrated everything over — your world, bases, and progress carried across intact. That brings chicken farming, the Chicken Coop workstation, new recipes, and all the 3.1 content to The Loot Lounge.

Stability — Restarts & Memory, Fixed ✅

A stray file had quietly disabled our scheduled restarts, which let memory slowly build up over long uptime. We found and cleared it — automatic restarts are back on, so the server hands memory back and stays responsive throughout the day instead of drifting under load.

Contracts — Back in Action ✅

AEC contracts are working again end to end: they show up at traders, accept, spawn their targets, and turn in properly. The broken quest pipeline that snuck in with the mod's auto-update is resolved.

Endgame Crafting — Parts Back in Reach 🔩

With the part converter gone (see the note above), the boss "star" parts you need for the crafting ladder were hard to come by again. So we did what we did last time and better: every boss family's 3–5 star parts now drop from its own boss and contract loot, at tapering rates so higher tiers stay a real chase. Combined with the low-tier drops already in place, the whole ladder is farmable through the contracts you actually run — no converter required.

Wasteland — Progression Restored 🌵

The wasteland's signature progression zombie had become far too rare thanks to how the spawner scales at endgame. We've boosted it so it now shows up roughly 1 in 20 wasteland spawns — reliable enough to progress, without flooding the biome.

Biome Heatmap — Working Again 🔥

Building up "heat" in an area by fighting is supposed to escalate and call in a boss. It was fizzling out instead. We repaired the boss table it draws from, so heating up the desert, snow, and wasteland now actually pays off.

World Refresh — POIs Reset Over Time 🔄

Explored POIs and abandoned areas now reset to fresh over time, so loot comes back around instead of the world going stale. Your land-claimed and bedroll-protected bases are safe — only unclaimed, unvisited areas refresh.

Known Issues / In Progress ⚠️

  • Old contracts may show "corrupt" and won't turn in. This is a one-time side effect of the AEC version fix — a contract you accepted before this update has mismatched reward data. Abandon it and grab a fresh one from the trader; new contracts complete normally. Still stuck? Open a ticket and we'll clear it off your character.
  • Boss-hunt contracts: place one bait at a time. Stacking multiple hunts spawns overlapping minion waves and turns a boss fight into a swarm.
  • We're continuing to tune contract difficulty and the crafting economy based on your reports.

If you hit a bug or see something off, open a ticket at thelootlounge.com — we act on every report. Thanks for riding it out with us while we get the new version fully dialed in.
